Trip Pricing

Pricing for guided trips on Bristol Bay’s wildest rivers.

Wild River Trips are $3,950- $5,500. per person per week depending on the river and number of days we are out.

I guide only pristine wilderness waters

These rivers & creeks rank highest among the most productive fisheries and wildlife habitat in Alaska. The difference between my service and a four star lodge and is that we fly our rafts and camps into the remote headwaters where outboard motors are not heard. Then we float, camp, wade, and fish a river thoroughly for 30-70 miles. This is unimaginable on a lodge schedule where you fish wade & drift fish from the sled after daily flights. These trips can be customized to your own group of 2-6.

Special Trips and Special Pricing

I devote a portion of each year to trips that benefit Trout Unlimited efforts to conserve Bristol Bay in regard to the proposed Pebble Mine. If you are interested in helping conserve the Bristol Bay environment contact me about fly-fishing on a Pebble Mine benefit trip.

We host annual expeditionary rafting / fly fishing trips for groups of Military Veterans. Donations and grants support these trips so that costs for veterans are minimal.

My company hosts significantly disabled anglers and campers each year and is unquestionably the most experienced river guiding company in Alaska for disabled fly casters. We will help you plan a trip that will accommodate your interests and accessibility options. Donated scholarship funds are available for disabled anglers. See Season Reports for examples of trips.

Occasionally weeklong trips are priced on a sliding scale to individuals who might never get to experience an Alaska wilderness fly-fishing trip any other way. Call or email to discuss this. This applies to college students, wannabe guides, prospective interns, ordinary people, and families who may not be able to afford a retail trip.

Guests sometimes are curious about tipping for guided trips?

Tipping for great or extraordinary service is appreciated! We give each trip 100% of our abilities as guides and hosts. Prior guests have variously contributed to the guides in amounts from 5-15%. Tipping is entirely at your discretion!

Testimonials

You & Kate ... are outstanding people and role models Richard Voss
Your understanding of the Alaskan wilderness and biology adds a dimension that you won't get with the lodges.  A true wilderness adventure. Brent Whitney
I told people I was going on the trip of a lifetime and that is exactly what this has been. John Gormley. Togiak River. August 11-18, 2018
A week filled with fish, great food, magnificent camp sites, spectacular vistas, wildlife sightings, fun and, most of all, good people Bob Erickson
There was a hard strike with jumps and hollers to match my excitement. Such magnificent beings these Silver Bullet Coho are. Amy Robinson
I have a flood of memories from Alaska, but the most remarkable ones were fishing with Mark John Markoff
Our week was more than a pleasure.  It was a really great experience for both me and the boys.  Can't tell you how much we enjoyed it! Scott Slappey. Goodnews. July 17-25, 2014.
The coho fishing started strong and just continued to strengthen, peaking by the hour. There was a session with Jim Bean at "Porpoise Flats" that goes down as the BEST 90 minutes of fishing in my life bar none. Really large silvers on every cast, we spent most of the time doubled up. I'm fairly certain there were no two happier people on the planet at that moment. Bob Erickson
Not a week goes by that I don't think about my fishing adventures with Mark Rutherford in the most remote, stunning, and productive fishery on the planet, Bristol Bay, Alaska. R.A. Beattie
In our days floating down the river, we encountered the rainbow trout in its rarest form — completely wild, ferocious and faster than a speeding bullet Paul Greenberg
