Fly Fishing Trip Overview

Group sizes are 1-8 anglers depending upon the time of year and objectives. Family trips are a great pleasure. Parent & child trips are one of our specialties and can be a wonderful way to celebrate the bond though shared adventure. Custom trips can be organized and are normally organized for more experienced groups to fish places with the highest solitude factors that may be unattainable by the general public. A single fisherman can generally be accommodated.

What kind of outdoor experience do you want?

Consider Wild River Guided trips compared to a lodge or self guided experience? Wild River guide company offers float fishing trips across  5,000 square miles of Bristol Bay’s pristine landscape. We fish more rivers, more miles per river and have more experience in Bristol Bay than any other raft based guide service. Our Federal and State permits allow us to focus on the region’s finest rivers for your solitude, and unpressured, unhurried fishing experience.

A Wild River Guided trip with Wild River Guides accommodates your particular interests, prior experience, and skills. The service is personal and the camaraderie extraordinary. A lodge is more institutional by definition and depends upon serving many more clients per week. On a self guided trip, without the benefit of our teams combined decades of experience, you would be responsible for all the risks of raft travel down wild and potentially unforgiving rivers but you might reap the satisfaction of a major accomplishment at trips end.

A portion of our clients select Wild River Guides having previously survived self guided epic Alaska misadventures. On a Wild River Guided trip with Wild River Guides the participants can double the hours fishing per week compared to lodge guests or day trips. On a Wild River Guided raft trip you will watch the vast & lonely landscape scroll past as you travel downriver. You will camp in that wilderness landscape among the fish & wildlife. You might consider that lodges & day tours try to get you home to hot showers and cocktail hour at 5:00 pm. While our glass of wine and hearty meals are enjoyed stream side in a comfortable tent camp. Alaska is a long way from anywhere. The success of your trip is important. We fish and travel through world-class landscapes and fisheries, as do some premiere lodges. Let’s get it right for you, your friends, and your family.

Birding, Wildlife, & Natural History Trips

We guide birding, wildlife, and trips for naturalists and campers in the most pristine Alaskan wilderness landscapes and waters. The rivers, creeks, mountain lakes and tundra uplands of the Togiak Wildlife Refuge and Wood Tikchik State Park are the heart of our guiding area. We specialize in rarely visited wilderness and focus on areas where our solitude is assured. The difference between lodges & tours and our service is that we fly into the mountain lakes amidst remote peaks where motors are not heard and years go by between tours. Then we hike camp, boat, photograph, paint and travel in the most extraordinary landscape for 5-7 days. This is unimaginable on a more institutional schedule where you will experience exactly what yesterday’s group experienced.
