Deposits & Cancellations

An email correspondence or phone conversation with Mark will hold your reservations for 14 days. After that a 50% deposit per person is required. Full payment is required 60 days prior to your trips departure.

The address to send payment

Check made out to: Wild River Guide Company

Post Office Box 13569

The timetable of payment. We begin the planning process and we agree upon dates and trip goals. You submit your deposit check and I provide a receipt.

Going forward immediately upon receipt of your deposit I begin logistic preparations, and purchases for your wilderness fishing & rafting trip. Our floatplane and airline schedules are confirmed and groceries are repackaged for wilderness travel & shipped by barge to Dillingham. Bed & Breakfast deposits are made in towns & villages. All our gear is weighed and re-weighed far in advance to fit gear, groceries, raft, 2 guests and 1 guide into the 1200# payload of a De-Havilland Beaver float plane.

It has been very rare to have a cancellation but in the event that you must cancel at the last minute we will bend over backward to reschedule ASAP within the same season.

I am in the service business and I will go to great lengths to help you and your family and friends have the safest, most spectacular wilderness fishing adventure of a lifetime.

Cancellations and refunds are very rare but having said that: you can find the “fine print” of the policy below.

Disclaimer Travel-Related Losses

Mark Rutherford will not be held responsible for any costs for additional meals, lodging, gear, or lost income due to weather or safety delays in the course of your travel. I will not be responsible for rain, storm, flood, earthquake, nor the consequences of any other natural disaster. Nor will I be responsible for complications arising due to aviation industry schedules. For safety reasons I must reserve the right to change the trip itinerary due to safety concerns, the timing of fish runs, weather, river water level, and other significant causes at my discretion.

Refund Policy

You will receive a full refund, less $200 per person service charge, when written notice is received by Mark 120 days, or more prior to your trip’s departure, or you can apply your funds to reserve a future trip. Less than 120 days prior to your trip’s departure we will reschedule ASAP but no refunds or credits will be given unless Mark can re-book the trip. After trip completion no refunds or credits will be given for any reason.

Cheers till we share a campfire,

Mark
