June and July are outstanding periods for wildlife viewing, photography, graphic arts, & natural history trips in Alaska.



Mountain Lakes & Tundra:
Experience Alaska’s untouched nature, great birding/ bird watching opportunities. Travel in your small group of 2-6 by float plane and be dropped off with renowned Natural History guide Mark Rutherford. Trek & camp among Togiak or Tikchik Mountain Lakes in Western Bristol Bay, Alaska’s Alpine Tundra terrain. Enjoy wildlife, wildflowers, painting or photography of landscape/wildlife. Mountain Lakes & Tundra Trip Timing: 3-6 days between June 10th and July 10th.

Maritime Seabirds & Walrus:
Observe Alaska’s Colonial Seabirds and Walrus. Travel in your small group of 2-6 by float plane and be dropped off at Cape Pierce, Alaska in Togiak National Wildlife Refuge for 2-5 nights with guide Mark Rutherford. Trek & camp along the Cape Pierce, Bering Sea coastal headlands, cliffs, and tundra terrain. Truly extraordinary observation, wildlife viewing & photography opportunities. Seabird & Walrus Trip Timing: 3-6 days between June 10th and July 10th.

Brooks Camp Bear Viewing Day Trips:
Extraordinary Brown Bear/ Grizzly Bear viewing & photography, plus a day of Fly Fishing opportunities. Before or after your Fishing, Maritime, or Mountain Lakes trip experience the internationally acclaimed Brown bears fishing at the Brooks Camp waterfalls. Travel in your small group of 2-6 by float plane and spend 2 hours, one half day, or one full day bear watching at Brooks Camp, Katmai National Park, with guide Mark Rutherford. Brooks Camp Trips are done between July 1-25. Because of the popularity of Brooks Camp Bear Viewing this is offered by advance reservation only and can not be accommodated at the last minute. Combination Trip:
You may choose to combine either a Mountain Lakes or a Maritime trip option with a Brooks Camp Bear Viewing day trip with 3 nights camping & 3 nights Guest House. The Brooks trip will generally occur on day 5 or Day 6. By advance reservation only.
