We'll fly into a headwaters tributary and search for "old growth" Rainbow Trout. We'll travel by raft and "camp on fish."

There are Arctic Grayling, Dolly Varden, and Arctic Char resident in addition to the Rainbows. We do this on tributaries that go years between fishing trips. It can be a rigorous week but that is why no one else is on the river!

You could choose to fish on smaller boreal forest tributaries of the Nushagak for "Old Growth" Rainbow Trout. On tributaries where it is rare to see another human for days. Or choose the King Salmon, the Upper Nushagak, or the South Fork where huge runs of salmon are migrating in addition to trout, grayling, and char.

The boreal tributaries of the Nushagak drainage fish well including those that are only fished a handfull of times per decade. The rivers and creeks of the Wood and Tikchick systems as well as tundra rivers out west all have strong fisheries. Let's choose one that fit's your interests!
