Goodnews River at the Very Peak of the Season – 2023

Year after year this mid-August trip on this spectacular river is when we host guests who commonly describe it as the “best fishing week of their life”. The fishing is very intense as we make our way down 70 miles of the North Fork of the Goodnews from headwaters to estuary. Trophy Dolly Varden Char are staged in staggering numbers over gravel shoals which we wade or sight fish from the raft with incredible success. Arctic Grayling and Rainbows are present and ready to eat in the headwaters. Coho Salmon dominate from mid-river to the estuary and are eager to crush streamers and topwater flies. Sore arms are common each night from fighting dozens of these tough 6-15 lb. Salmon. The Mountains will surround us until our final day, a trait unique to the North Fork of the Goodnews. The staff will set up your camp each night in some of the most beautiful wilderness scenery imaginable as you experience a week of world-class fishing in Bristol Bay! This week is highly sought after and frequently books full 1 year in advance.
